Wind and Sea was the most beautiful and special place to get married. The house was very nice, views were incredible, and the staff did a great job. They also had great vendor recommendations that were very familiar with the venue. I would get married here again and again. It was perfect. I hope to come back!

Y'all. This is probably the most beautiful place I've ever seen. We came from across the country with 35 of our friends & family and every single one of them has told me this is the most beautiful wedding they ever went to. There are so many beautiful spots on this property that your only issue will be choosing where to have your ceremony. The staff was very accommodating and helped us set up and tear down. You will not go wrong booking this place!

My experience working with Wind & Sea was all positive. Natalie responded in a timely manner to emails and clarified any questions I had throughout the time booking. She sent over three very helpful videos of the property. One showed us the grounds of the property, one was the venue, and the other was the rentals that were included. These videos were very helpful for me and why I booked with them. I’m from Florida so making a trip out to California just to see the venue would have been difficult. We ended up having to cancel our wedding out there but we felt like we spent time out there just with all the photos and videos. We think Wind & Sea is beautiful and would recommend this property to anyone looking to have their intimate wedding in Big Sur.

Wind and Sea was phenomenal! The team was extremely responsive, adaptable throughout the planning process, and so easy to work with. The venue was perfect. My family and I took advantage of the iron tubs, sauna, and the impeccable views. I couldnt have dreamed a more perfect wedding venue or vacation spot. This will always be a special place for us and the team made all of our worries fade away from day 1!

Wind & Sea was absolutely stunning - it is naturally beautiful, spacious, peaceful, and honestly the perfect Big Sur wedding venue. You can hear sea lions barking in the distance and hummingbirds buzzing around the grounds - simply amazing.
We had 80 guests and it was perfect, we were initially concerned that with our higher guest count it would be tight but we were proven wrong!
There was plenty of room on the dance floor and on the benches on the ceremony bluff, our dinner tables on the lawn were situated perfectly as well. The bar setup by the lower deck was on point, no bar lines into the dance floor
HIGHLY recommend this venue - and stay a few extra nights if you can to enjoy the on-site sauna and outdoor bathtubs! The property managers, Ken and Bridget, were extremely kind and helpful - they prepared the venue grounds before our big day and helped with the setup and tear down of all the tables and chairs. Chris was super responsive as well and addressed all of our questions via the messaging portal.
Overall, we had the dreamiest wedding day, thanks to Wind & Sea and all it has to offer. Look no further if you want a cliffside wedding in beautiful Big Sur :)

If you like nature, Big Sur, intimate weddings, stunning views, and something special and unique… this is your venue!!!
I toured all the Big Sur venues and nothing compared. Even Ventana, which is gorgeous, but not nearly as unique and beautiful. It’s simply stunning. If feels like you’re stepping into another world. We loved it, and our guests said things like’ “my jaw dropped when I stepped off the shuttle” and “awe-inspiring venue” and “WOW!!!!”
Specific things I loved:
- The house itself is gorgeous - it feels like you’re in someone’s well-decorated expensive private home
- im a princess with linens. The sheets are great!!!
- they built a wall to ceiling for master bedroom - so now it’s private!! Was thrilled they did that
- Many different settings for each part - several ceremony site options, cocktail hour options, etc
- You can hear the ocean waves crashing and the sea lions barking. So many sweet nature smells and sounds
- Super private. Nearest neighbors are maybe 1/4 mile away
- Staff is awesome!! Super helpful and responsive. Also very chill and laid back personalities - they didn’t stress us out, as some vendors did. Particularly grateful for Chris (manager) who responded to questions within an hour, and Ken (property manager) who helped out a lot.
That said, it is logistically challenging, like the required shuttle, but with careful planning you’ll be fine.
Tips:
- Get more than enough shuttles. Depart every 30 minutes. Print shuttle schedules and display them everywhere. Have DJ announce times. Be very clear in your guest comms (“if you miss the shuttle, you’ll miss the ceremony, so please don’t be late”). Well worth every penny.
- You’ll need a shuttle lost and found. Tell guests the name of your shuttle company before, so they can handle themselves (we were inundated with texts the next morning…)
- I was worried we’d feel too crowded for a larger wedding (for Wind & Sea; smaller by industry standards). But it was totally fine!
- Warn guests about lack of cell service. It was actually a blessing - everyone was way more present.
- Early checkout (10am) was understandable, but very tough after a wedding, especially if people keep hanging out inside drinking after the caterers leave. Cleaning up and packing after a big day was a beast the next morning. Still worth it ;)

My daughter wed at Wind and Sea a few weeks ago. Hands down everyone felt this was the most gorgeous wedding experienced. If you want an experience of a lifetime that no one will ever forget book this venue.
