At Wind & Sea Big Sur we strive for luxurious comfort. In the main house, there are 3 bedrooms for 6 guests to sleep comfortably:
an upstairs master bedroom with a cal king bed
a downstairs bedroom with a queen bed
a bunk bedroom with a full mattress on the bottom and a single mattress up top
We also understand that you may desire to host more overnight guests than 6 people which is why we also include the studio with a cal king bed.
In total, we can comfortably accommodate 8 overnight guests with whom are included in your quote.
For overnight guests beyond the first 8 we have 3 queen air mattresses and a twin size fold out mattress to host a maximum of 12 overnight guests.

Our wedding packages include a 2 night stay with 4:00 pm check in and 10:00 am check out. With the 2 night stay your event guests are welcome to arrive as early as you would like!
The Monterey County cut-off time for amplified music is 10pm. However, event guests are welcome to be on-site until the end of the day (11:59pm).
When hosting additional events such as a welcome dinner or farewell brunch, an additional night for each added event is required.

Yes, there is enough parking for up to 10 cars on-site. We recommend only having overnight guests and vendors park on the day of your event and to carpool as much as possible. Please notify your vendors of this policy, especially if they are new to Wind & Sea.
The remainder of your guests will be required to take a shuttle to the property from Carmel, Monterey, or Big Sur depending on where they are staying. We do not allow parking outside of the gate.
When working with Wedy, they will help coordinate your shuttle service.

To reserve your date, you must pay a deposit equal to 25% of the total invoice and a signed contract.
An additional 25% of the total cost will be due 6 months after booking.
The final payment is due 3 months prior to check in.
When booking closer to your wedding date, the first two payments may be compounded.

Yes, you are welcome to increase your guest count at any time.
Reducing your guest counts must be completed prior to final payment is due 60 days before your event.

Yes, we are! You can bring up to 2 dogs and we ask that they be groomed beforehand, kept off of furniture, and on a leash at all times when outdoors.

Yes, we do welcome new caterers not on our preferred vendor list. They must be approved by us before signing your contract with them. This is out of precaution as we do not have a commercial kitchen and want to be sure they are aware of the Wind & Sea facilities.
Working directly with Wedy is one way to ensure your vendors are pre-approved.

There are three bathrooms in the main house. One is en suite in the master bedroom. One is a shared bathroom between the two downstairs bedrooms. (Not connected to either bedroom.)
One is a half bath by the front door for guests.
People generally use the two upstairs bathrooms for events.

There is no beach access on Wind & Sea property.

A maximum of 60 guests can sit on the deck for dinner. 50 or less is most comfortable.
